Skorokhodov Conference Room

This conference room on the 2nd floor of the NLMK Corporate University campus is named after the metallurgist-engineer Nikolay Skorokhodov (1912-1985).



Nikolay Skorokhodov was an expert on rolling and ingot crystallization. He initiated a fundamental improvement of teaching in higher education. He authored around 100 publications. He assisted the faculty and post-graduate students of the Peking, Mugden, Tianjin, and Changchun Institutes as a methodologist. He served as senior advisor to the Director of Peking Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy and taught there. He wrote textbooks himself since the import of the necessary literature was prohibited.
