Anosov Transformable Space

Pavel Anosov (1796-1851) is known as a pioneer of steel sciences and high-quality steelmaking. While working on the secret of liquid iron behaviour in the kiln, he literally stayed in the office for days on end. He was the first in the world to begin experimentation with additives, alloying steel with gold, manganese, aluminium. He was also the first to discover that alloying can change the properties of steel. He founded an entire segment of metallurgy: alloys.

Anosov is sometimes called the ‘father of Russian damascus steel’. He succeeded in rediscovering the once-lost secret of damascus steel.

He pioneered microscopy as a tool to study steel properties. He replaced the noxious mercury-based gold plating with the galvanic process, and made improvements to the gold panning machine and numerous other devices.

About the space:

The transformable space accommodates up to 68 people. It can be divided quickly into three independent rooms, up to 18 people each. The space has a special-purpose divider walls that can be used as a whiteboard, large screens to show slides or video, and a speaker tracking system to deliver lectures, trainings or any other event, both online and offline.
