NLMK Corporate University hosts first Corporate Training Forum in Russia

NLMK Group, a global steel company, held the first corporate training forum in Russia in partnership with the Higher School of Economics Graduate School of Business. More than 300 managers and experts of the country’s leading corporate universities and business schools, heads of HR departments, and Edtech companies gathered to discuss the current challenges in employee training and development in a changing environment.

The forum was held at the new NLMK Corporate University campus in Lipetsk. Participants exchanged best practices, discussed current needs and wants of companies with regard to employee training, advanced formats of personnel development, and ways to evaluate the effectiveness of corporate training.

Experts named the key trends, which include the increasing role of corporate universities in company transformation, developing a unified leadership culture and skills of working in a constantly changing environment, and creating a development ecosystem that encompasses company employees and their business partners and customers.

Our main task and our mission is to stand with our company and support it in the development of our employees. We have accomplished a lot and are ready to face the future with great energy! NLMK Corporate University was founded in 2016. It employs the Leaders Train Leaders approach: by engaging managers and experts in the training process, the Company prepares future leaders ready to take on ambitious challenges in a rapidly changing world. Currently, 400 internal trainers are engaged in the training process, involved in 160 training courses. In 2021, 96% of employees went through internal training programmes at NLMK Group, almost 60 hours of training per employee.

In 2021, NLMK Corporate University was recognized as the best in Russia, receiving the Grand Prix in the Corporate University of the Year nomination at the Crystal Pyramid 2021 awards for achievements in HR management.
